ABOUT

Eline van der Velden is the 2X award winning Actress/Writer/Director of the BBC Three series Miss Holland and founder of Particle6 Productions. She’s also known for her BBC Three street experiment videos Putting It Out There, BBC Comedy Quickies and the Gender Bias Riddle which got 14M views. Her most recent series bring science and comedy together: Crazy Science.

Having studied Physics at Imperial College London, with a Master project on Nuclear Fusion, she taught maths and physics to kids while gaining parts in several Dutch national TV series from 2009: The Throne (De Troon), Overspel & Beatrix. Previous to that she trained in Drama & Musical Theatre at the Arts Educational School Tring, Hertfordshire.

In 2012, after training at Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB) in Los Angeles and feeling a lack of good female comedy parts in the industry, she created her own comedic series Miss Holland which won Best Online Comedy at the 2013 Lovie Awards.

She repeated this Lovie Award success with comedy sketch show The Bad News Crew and became the number 1 Maker on DailyMotion.

In 2014 Eline created, wrote and starred in 5 new online shows for Endemol Beyond, featuring London Hughes, Mawaan Rizwan, Mae Martin and Emily Hartridge. She also appeared the face of Dutch shampoo Andrelon, as well as being a 2016 Webby judge.

Straddling both business and performing, she then became the Managing Director of the Dutch video platform Makers Channel, which was acquired by Benelux conglomerate De Persgroep in November 2016.

Eline runs her own production company Particle 6 Productions and still dreams about saving the world with plasma fusion.
